By the time I had come to the end of photographing this magnificent beast, I felt that we knew each other well.  

He had grown to trust me over the 20 minutes or so that I was manoeuvring myself around him.

Then with a look of impatience as if to suggest he had enough modelling for the day and wished to continue eating, he threw his head up to the very position I was seeking.  Perhaps he knew, I was silently pleading with him to arrange his head and horns to fit with the break in the sky as this was what he did so precisely at the last.

We both parted company with our desires fulfilled; him to be left alone and me to have my precious image.  I continue to have a huge fondness for highland cattle.
