Something drew me to this miniature landscape, the intensity of colour accentuated by the light that presented itself for just a few seconds. The simplicity of the detail allowed the colours and textures to sing. Before this moment, I merely repositioned the shutters. When open they took away the detail from the urn when shut, the scene seemed un-inviting and cold but when as shown, a sense of balance and equilibrium seem to occur.
