There can be frustrations associated with much landscape photography and these normally involve the three variables of light, sky and wind.

I had positioned myself so that the shadows from the arches appeared like marching piano keys toward the top of the apparent slope at the far end of the cloister.

Little did I know that a small boy (the fourth and unexpected variable) would be taunting me by darting into my image each time the sun emerged. Finally, his mother yanked him away and the image was made.
