It is often worthwhile waiting for clouds to cast their accompanying shadows on areas that I would prefer to be subdued. 

They were very obedient that day and, with the help of a prevailing breeze, they positioned themselves and, by obscuring the background, allowed their shadows to accentuate the twin hollows in the foreground. 

After five minutes they moved onward but their job was done.
