Your one to one session will start with a critique, you will then go out on location and return to Charlie's stuido for 2 hours of printing. Using a high quality Epson printer and textured fine art archival rag paper, you will have the option to print up to 5 images from either your day with Charlie or previous work or a combination.
During your time printing with Charlie in his studio, you will be able to explore the dexterity in printing your own work and how to ensure this represents your pre-visualisation. Working through a step by step process, you will see your work come to life and begin the journey to producing your work either for your own enjoyment or for others, e.g an exhibition or building your porfolio.
Printing your work at the end of the day will help you to experience the complete process of planning to previsualisation, photographing to printing. This approach will help you hone your skills as a photographer and certainly encourages you to consider what elements of your picture really matter and if they have a place on your wall or in an potential exhibition space.
Charlie is encouraging, constructive, inituitive, patient and visionary and will help you during your one to one session, to pursue the next stage in your photographic journey. A day not to be missed!
“The process of making a landscape photograph can only be concluded and fully consummated by granting the photograph it’s natural right; to be released and set free from the negative, the hard drive and it’s monitor; to my mind, the print is the prerequisite, the print is obligatory.
If the landscape photographer feels that the image has the merit to be announced, then it should be. The print is the photograph’s rightful inheritance”.

"Just a quick note to say I really enjoyed Charlie Waite's presentation on Tuesday. I thought he struck a really good balance between his own images and speaking about those which had influenced him. It was also very refreshing to see how open he was about his own techniques and happy to share his "secrets". I appreciated that he was comfortable with sharing his own images and criticising some of them - he is obviously very highly critical of himself, and I guess that is part of what has got him where he is today.
