When I awoke that morning, I could never have predicted that one hour into the day, I would be photographing a farmer and his best friend perched proudly on his lap. The expression on Dick, the sweetest terrier’s face, was as if to say ‘he always lets me ride here’. There was no choreography but as if to ‘dress the set’ and provide a little extra gesture for me the photographer, Roal gave a light whistle to beckon the chicken to enter the stage. Roal smiled back at me knowing that he had made me happy.
